"Hey! I should buy a Cricut and make scrapbook pages to sell!" This is how it all started.. Just a crazy half-hearted suggestion made by me and taken seriously by Kevin..
I used to scrapbook a lot, but haven't been able to what-so-ever for a while now.. Actually the last time I made a scrapbook page (before the last week) was when I was 7-8 months pregnant and got too big to be able to do it anymore. I love scrapbooking, but I just didn't have the time or money or space to be able to do it anymore... I even sold most of my paper and embellishments.
Well, all that changed last Friday. I made the suggestion of buying a Cricut so I could make pages to sell online, and Kevin thought it would be a great idea. I could have a creative outlet and he would get a new desk, so I could keep his (originally it was mine), and then I could also feel like I'm bringing in money too.. So Friday we set out on a mission.. We bought paper (4 12x12 pages for $1 at Hobby Lobby) and tons of other stuff. That weekend we got everything I needed, including tons of paper, brads, adhesive, ribbon, storage, a Cricut and Cricut essentials, etc.
We were going nonstop for 3 days. Finally Sunday night I opened the Cricut and actually made my first scrapbook page to sell. I love it! It is so very cute.. Since then (now a week later), I've made 29 premade scrapbook pages! I am so proud of myself. Kevin had set a goal of 25 pages a wekk for me, and I beat it. :) We spent tons of money to get everything, but after the first month or so, things will be more profitable. I'm loving it and we'll be putting them online soon!
