Going to Walmart on the Sunday before Thanksgiving without the hubby, but with the 9.5 month old, and having to cuss a lady out for almost hitting my child.. Not sure if it was a good or bad idea, but it felt good...
So yeah, I'm standing there in Walmart, with Leala sitting in the cart, while the cart is all the way up against the shelves. That way, I am out of the way. Yes, Leala can reach things, but she was playing with the cart cover and the little teether attached to the cart cover. So this ignorant "woman" (for lack of a better term - without cussing) gets upset b/c the lady on the other side of the aisle has her cart slanted and is half blocking the middle of the aisle. So instead of telling that lady to move her cart or hitting her cart, she hits MINE! My daughter's fingers were right there on the corner of my cart, and Leala moved them at the very last second because she got scared. The "woman" was huffing and puffing and slammed into our cart to get by.. Remind you, there was nowhere for my cart to go, since I had it right up to the shelves.. Just imagine if Leala didn't move her hand out of the way! Oh man, I covered Leala's ears, and went off on the ignorant "woman".
I was so pissed. I couldn't believe she had just done that, and then she said it wasn't a big deal, that my daughter didn't get hurt and I shouldn't be yelling at her. Are you kidding me? I'm sorry, maybe I shouldn't have said every word in the book, but I think I am very entitled to yell at you when you almost slammed my baby's fingers inbetween our carts, because you were mad at someone else and you are a heartless "woman". Oh man, I was sooo mad. So so very mad.
After that, I was just about ready to kill someone, but finished up my shopping as quickly as possible and went home..
Then I had my hubby come out with me and we went to Toys R Us to take a defective toy back and to buy Leala's last toy for Christmas. I love it, and I'm so glad we got it.
Tomorrow, we will be going to Hong Kong Market and then to Ross. After that, all we will have to get is a gift card, and then we will be done Christmas shopping! Yay!

Oh! That is the toy you are talking about. . lol. Maddison had one of those too! I gave it to my friend Taryn before I left my mom's. . lol. It is really cute and Maddison liked it. . I just knew we wouldn't have room for it here. . and she was starting to outgrow it too. But yeah, I am sure Leala will love it!
I woulda killed her! I'm normally mean to people like that.. telling them "Wow, guess excuse me doesn't work anymore" and thing of that sort.. but if somebody woudla came close to hitting my son? I'd kill them. LOL when he was a baby, he used to tell everyone hi.. if they didn't reply, I'd tell him "don't worry Zach, people are just ignorant!" ... okay, yes, I have issues.
Anyhow.. YOU GO GIRL. Defend your kid!! ;)
People can be really careless and mindless. Sorry to hear about you incident. I agree that you had all the right in the world to be mad. Glad to hear that you are almost done Christmas shopping...I haven't even started.
ps-the lighter background is easier to read, again, it was probably just me. I find some color schemes harder on my eyes than others. Reading on black background just makes my eyes hurt. I could just be overly sensative, it is worse now since I have had eye surgery. Please undertand that I did not want to hurt your feelings...I really do love the new colors
I am still not sure why I am not getting your updates. Ugh. I am following you, I should be getting all these. Hmmm. Anyways, sounds like a time at Walmart. I am so jealous that you are almost done shopping, as much as I enjoy shopping, I don't like to be pressured about what I am buying. Thus, Christmas shopping is much different. good for you though...again...I am jealous!
sorry things were so horrible at the WalMart... I swear there is a rule at that store that you must be rude!
Oh man, I would have been very upset too! That is good that her fingers did NOT get smashed though, b/c if they would have I'm sure that woman would have really got it!!
We also went to wally world on Sunday after church, and ours wasen't too too bad, busier then usual...I guess it depends on where you live, I might even need to go back for a few more things. blah.
Glad you finished up your shopping almost! We haven't really even started, lol..but do alot on black Friday and leave the boys home with granny!
Love the toy too!
Argh...
I hate that. Honestly that is why I no longer shop at Walmart- that is my experience almost every time I go in there!
