Hoping for the best, but not expecting it..

I won't say this will be my only post about Obama, but I will try to make it one of very few. Also, you can bash me all you want, but it's not going to change my opinion... I live in America, and as of right now, I still have my right to say what I think...

Now with all that said, I am very disappointed in the decision to make Obama our new president. I just don't understand. I am very sad and honestly, very scared of what is to come in our future. I don't like his beliefs and morals. It's not that oh, McCain didn't win.. It's that I think Obama won for all the wrong reasons.. I think he was voted for because he is black. They showed on the news several people saying they voted for him and didn't even know the issues at hand.. They just voted for him because they think we need a young strong black man for president.

I also heard on the radio, where they had reporters going out and asking people who they voted for. Many of them said Obama. The reporter then asked them if it was because of Obama's belief in pro-life and wanting to keep our troops in Iraq and finish the war (which are McCain's views, not Obama's), they said yes, that they totally agree with it and are behind him 100%. The reporter even asked them that if Obama won, do they think Palin would be a good VP and if they thought Obama made a good choice in picking Palin to be his VP. They all said yes, and that she would do a great job! Are you kidding me?!

I'm not saying everyone who voted for Obama is this ignorant, but I think a very good share of the people who did vote for Obama didn't know the issues at hand, and now we all have to pay for it.. I can guarentee you that if things get too bad, I will figure out a way to get the hell out of this country. I am NOT going to let this man and America's bad decision risk my daughter's life. It is very sad, that other mothers and I are having to think this way.. I just don't get it. This is America. The freakin United States... and there's jokes going around (and many are serious) about leaving the country..

I want more than anything for Obama to prove me wrong.. I would give him all the money I have, to prove to us that he can run this country in a way that we will be proud of, and not scared of.. I would love for him to show us (when another country decides to test us), that he is the right man to be running this country... Do I think it will happen? No, not really, but I hope so..

It is just hard for me to look at him, and see a leader.. He believes in killing infants... That is murder.. You can be technical or whatever, I don't care. Any way you look at it, it is murder. And to have someone who thinks that is okay as the leader of our country, scares the crap out of me. I wouldn't even let someone like that give me advice on marriage, or parenthood, or even what car I should buy... so why in the world would I want him being the president?

There's many other things, including an attorney taking Obama to court because he doesn't believe Obama is a US born Citizen. Obama refuses to show paperwork to prove otherwise. Either way, Obama, supposedly was an Indonesian citizen at a point where they didn't believe in dual citizenship, so when he came back to the US, he wasn't seen as a US born citizen anymore.. Which is a prerequisite of being the president of the United States.. Hopefully something is done about all this, and somehow he impeached or something.

If not, I will be forced to cross my fingers for the next four years and hope that nothing happens... and I will hope that he will not be re-elected.

it is nice to hear someone that has the same fears and doubts about this so called Obaman guy. I fear his ideals and morals but let's remember that God is in control and that He is the only one with the Power. I don't know you but I want you to know that you are not alone in your thinking. God bless your family.

I totally hear you, I know that God is in control and He does not make mistakes. This is part of the plan, & it does push us so much closer to His return. We so need to pray for our nation & our soon to be new president. Only God can bless America...Not a president.

First of all I did not vote, but it is people like you that spread fear in our country and falsehoods. Yes, God is in control... but the people need to change not the president. I don't think that God would want any of us to act like this? Do you?

In reply to the last comment.. left by the anonymous person:

I do not really believe in God.. So I don't know what "He" would want us to do.. I know that I am being civil about this.. and that I have the right to say whatever I want to.. I could be a lot more rude about this, and I could do a lot more things to make matters worse, and I'm not.. I'm stating my opinion, on my own blog, in America, I don't think I'm doing anything wrong.

But I do know that it IS the people who need to change.. I thought I made that pretty clear... In my post, I start out saying, "I am very disappointed in the decision to make Obama our president." Um, the DECISION in making him our president.. Who decided that? The people, right? Yeah.. that's what I said..

People should be more informed when they make a decision, especially one as big as this.. I have said all this... so yeah, I don't know what else to say to your remark.. I kinda already answered it all.. lol.. Oh well..

If you didn't vote. . you don't get an opinion. Sorry.

Just because I didn't vote doesn't mean I don't have an opinion... I agree with things from both parties. Life is not black/white, there is some gray in the middle. You are right people need to make informed decisions, not ones based on hearsay or because of the color of one's skin, etc. I said people need to change, it has nothing to do with the decision. And you are right again, you are posting on your blog and you have the right to your opinion but if you don't want people to comment on such issues because they don't agree with you then maybe you need to think twice or respect other peoples views. Whether they are right or wrong.

Um, I think people's decision has everything to do with the people themselves... so I'm not quite sure where you're going with this. The way they made their decision needs to change.. that would be the people themselves changing... but ok.

I'm not sure how I didn't respect your views.. I said I'm being civil about this.. and I am, so I'm not sure what led you to think I don't want people to say what they think and that I don't respect them for having their own opinion.. People are welcome to come to my blog and say as they wish (within reason, of course). It is America, like I've said several times.

If people actually voted for Obama or wanted Obama to be president (without voting) and KNEW what the issues were and agreed more with Obama than McCain, great! Kudos to you. Seriously. But most people did not do that.. Most people just wanted to make history.. most people just wanted a black man for president.

I don't mind at all having a black man as president. If done correctly, that means this country has actually overcome it's racism.. But it wasn't done correctly. People voted for him b/c of his color. That to me, is a shame. Instead of being proud to have made such a historic decision, most of America will regret it and will resent those who made that decision.. and it will most likely only create more racism, which is a tragedy.

You are right a lot of people in this world do things for the wrong reasons! And I am very sad for that, but I am also sad that people listen to the media, they only post things that they want you to hear to cause controversey. Our world is not perfect and it never will be, but just because Obama is president isn't going to make it worse or better. People spout off at the mouth about him being muslim, not a christian, that our world will go to socialism, that he will take money out of hard working peoples pockets, etc etc without finding out the true hard facts. That is what bothers me. It all sounds pretty ignorant to me and if people think that everyone in the government doesn't have some kind of agenda.... well than...this world is all about money. I could be more rude too and state facts about abortion(which I don't believe in) and about vaccinations using unborn fetus tissues. Do you understand my point? I could say things like people are hypocrits about being against abortion and then go get their child vaccinated because their doctor told them too. Everything goes hand in hand, all I am saying is people need to have an open mind on all issues and be fair and respectful andnot bash the other side all the time without the true hard facts. Will we ever know them? Probably not!

You know, you're right (for the most part). I do think Obama being president will make things better or worse.. hopefully he'll prove me wrong, and make them better.

I'm done talking about it with you though.. it seems as if we kinda agree on things, but I do still think I can say what I wish on my site.. and I still stand behind my post and all that it says. I do not like Obama and I do not like his views and beliefs.. and I think he was voted for for all the wrong reasons.

We can agree to disagree..

My baby is sick, and I just do not have the energy to keep talking about this.

I have a question.....you seem to know a lot about Obama's beliefs and proposed policies so because you are so educated on this topic can you explain them and then tell me why it is you disagree with them specifically? I am honestly just trying to understand your view on this. Because when you say that you are "scared" I just canNOT understand?? Seriously I am not trying to offend you here but your comments truly confuse me and I'm trying to understand exactly where you are coming from? What is it that you fear so much? Please explain in detail, this really interests me. I voted for Obama and I completely respect your right to vote for McCain but I am just very interested to know your reasoning behind this? What really has got me so confused is your fear... you had to have been so fearful these past eight years while Bush has been office if you are fearful of Obama..right? I believe the past eight years have been the scariest times of our lives? Don't you?? Please since you are so educated on this can you please explain specifically to all of us ignorant people why you believe McCain was the better choice. Thanks.

I don't have time to keep talking about this.. but I will answer one question real quick.. people are saying that other countries will test us b/c they see Obama as a poor leader.. Since I don't agree with Obama on a lot of things, it's scary that this man will be the one protecting us... It's as simple as that..

In my last reply, I said that my daughter is sick.. well now my husband and I are sick.. I don't have the energy to sit here and explain these things.. No offense, but I posted my blog with everything I had to say, I'm kinda done talking about it (especially while we are all sick). I have better things to be concerned about right now..

Oh and fyi, I didn't say that everyone who voted for Obama was ignorant, so unless you voted for him solely b/c he was black, then you are not ignorant.. Before you confront me, maybe you should read my words more clearly..

"I'm not saying everyone who voted for Obama is this ignorant, but I think a very good share of the people who did vote for Obama didn't know the issues at hand, and now we all have to pay for it.."
